Officer Responsibilities
The official roles and responsibilities are listed in the Bylaws. This is a "practical summary" of those roles.
President: Chief executor of the Chapter's business. It is the President's responsibility to shepherd discussions on our social media group which is our chapter's virtual meeting place. The President also votes for the ICG Lifetime Achievement Award.
Vice President: Assistant to the President and the one who carries out the president's duties when needed.
Secretary: Responsible for maintenance of the Chapter's records, and membership roster. Responds to inquiries sent to the Chapter. Is responsible for sending the monthly update report to the ICG Treasurer and for annual reports to the ICG Board of Directors and to the ICG Secretary related to ICG Standing Rules 7 and 14, respectively.
In practical terms, the secretary works with the webmaster and the treasurer to maintain membership record, both for ICG reporting and website update purposes. The secretary also welcomes new members and reminds members whose membership are up for renewal via email.
Treasurer: Maintains the Chapter's financial records, receives funds and deposits them into the Chapter's accounts, reports all dues payments to the Secretary, and pays all bills.
Our primary source of income is the membership dues, and the primary expense has been dues payable to the ICG which cover the cost of our webhosting and social media. The Treasurer makes a membership report to the ICG Treasurer per ICG requirements.
Subordiinate Officer Responsibilities
There are also a few non-voting, appointed Subordinate Officers who report the the Board. Not all positions are used at all times.
Event Coordinator(s): organize virtual or in-person events for the membership.
ICG Board Representative and/or Alternate : is the Chapter's representative in the ICG-BOD meetings and acts as a communication bridge between the ICG and the Chapter's members and votes in the ICG meetings representing the Chapter.
Parliamentarian: provides expertise on rule of order and proper proceedures for the conduct of Chapter and Board meetings.
Virtual Costumer Editor: publishes The Virtual Costumer, our Chapter's main publication.
Web Master: is responsible for maintaining the Chapter's web site.
Webinar Coordinator: is responsible for scheduling, running, and publishing the Chapter's webinars.
